Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
